Deformable Occupant Compartment Impact Testing (DOCIT)
SAFE Laboratories DOCIT fixture simulates an occupant’s interaction with the roof and restraint system of a vehicle during an inverted impact. These tests allow for a controlled impact speed and orientation and are non-destructive. Virtually any seat and restraint system configuration can be installed in the fixture. This allows for evaluation of various alternative designs under similar test conditions. A full compliment of instruments and photography equipment is available to document the impact and evaluate relevant injury measures
